Our week allowed us to continue unwinding while taking language classes in the mornings. The classes have been very helpful, especially in helping to adapt to the "Porteño" accent.
Afternoons and evenings have been spent exploring and dining is a very time-consuming acitvity in Argentina. On Wednesday we spent an enjoyable evening with Juan and Silvia Pfeifer, a local architect and his wife, and their son and his girlfriend who were introduced to us by Theo Kondos. We had a delightful time with them at a diner tango show that was beautifully presented.

On Thursday, Dave Kell (college and, yes, high school, friend) joined us here and will be with us for the next month. An enthusiastic traveller and master of español, we have enjoyed sharing our early experiences here.

We have been able to visit some neighborhoods with very lively streetlife. It becomes especially vibrant every evening and even staying out well past midnight, it seems like we go in too early.
